Australia IT Developer Job Interview Testimonial #4

Sydney
Sydney

“S Company in Sunshine Coast, an IT company based on Microsoft technology.”

It is a case that was arranged through a Korean headhunting company, and the interview was based on the premise of RSMS.

1. The first interview is conducted at 7 o’clock after work, with the president using Skype to answer questions in the form of a general interview.

2. After about 2 to 3 months in the second round, when the president visited Sydney, he had a face-to-face interview in the morning before going to work at a coffee shop in front of the Sydney client company of Company S. 80% of the content is the same as the first interview. Perhaps after the first interview, I put it in the candidate pool, but I can’t remember the content of the interview, so I feel like I’m asking again. Or maybe you just wanted to see and see for yourself. (This delay may be a feature of the Australian employment process, but it may also be because it is less attractive.)

3. One week after the second interview, the third technical interview will be held via Skype. The questionnaire is sent immediately and after 15 minutes of preparation time, the answers are explained according to the order of the questions, and the development team members ask the relevant practical and in-depth questions. The president sits down and conducts the entire interview. The questions are four ASP.Net C# related to support positions and two more about T-SQL. The last question was completely unfamiliar. Even if you don’t know much about something, it’s better to answer it in a way that you can make up for it rather than just not knowing.

4. After 3 weeks, the result is unsuccessful. The reason for this is that the technology is not up to expectations, and it is not native, but potential communication problems are expected. I was disappointed in the position I had hoped for, but in the end, it was an opportunity for me to reflect on my lack of basic skills.

theorem

– It is not easy to judge a person through a short interview, and on the contrary, it is difficult to show your assets in a short period of time.

– What was lacking.

. I asked him several times if he had any questions during the interview, but he didn’t prepare the questions in advance.
. Even if the skills learned while working are meaningful in practice, there is a clear limit to answering questions and answers. Intellectual learning and organization seem to be something to be invested outside of workday.
It’s a mistake to think that you can work abroad and get away with “English” under the pretext of being a developer. By breaking through head-on, you can raise your level to a level without problems with locals in the shortest time, and then you have to study steadily and speak advanced English, so that you can lead meetings and negotiate as a senior developer.
. As someone from a non-English speaking country, I think it’s better not to speak quickly as if I’m speaking English, and to speak clearly and grammatically when I feel that the pronunciation is a bit sloppy.
